Athletic Economics
What’s Athletic Economics?
Athletic Economics (AE) is a curriculum based program that introduces youth to academic courses while they practice sports. The AE program provides youth the tools to navigate not just the sports arena, but life as well by providing information on behavior and decision making.
Courses are designed to advance with each age group. For example, an 8 year old can stay involved with the Program until 17. Our courses continuously grow and evolve each year. We strive to engage in different learning types by using visuals, conversations and real-life scenarios of athletic behaviors to encourage development.
There are 7 AE courses. Each class has a capacity of 25 youth:

• Money Management/Financial lit: 8/10u 8 hrs; 12u 12hrs; 14/17u 16hrs.
• Anger Management
• Conflict Resolution 8/10u 4 hrs; 12u 12hrs; 14/17u 16hrs.
• Who Am I
• Arts & Crafts/Movie
• Physical/Sports Health-education 2-hour class
• Cultural and Social Awareness 4hrs / two-hour increments 12/17u
“Who am I” is a critical/criminal thinking course. Centered around real cases and the history of the individuals in the cases. Good and bad decisions, penal codes, and personal opinions.

Days: Tuesdays/Fridays
Time: 5pm to 7pm
